Judging by the ribbon hanging from Katie’s dress it looks like she’s taking style tips from her daughter, Suri!
Katie Holmes ditched her go-to get-up and got all done up for the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Annual National Tribute Dinner in LA on May 5, where she turned up in a low-cut black Dolce & Gabbana dress with green ribbon detailing around the waist. While she looked chic from the front, when she turned around the hanging ribbon in the back was just too sloppy!
I was so upset to see it just hanging there haphazardly — from the front she was totally put together! The length was perfect on Katie, and her delicate sandals complimented the look so well. Had Katie tied the ribbon it probably wouldn’t have bothered me so much. What do you think? Did the tie ruin the dress or does it still work?

i agree with you katrina. and if you had such a strong reaction, can you imagine how dolce and gabana felt? to be a fly on the wall when they saw the back of their dress being maligned and misrepresented! i’m sure that was not their vision for it… you think you’re going to sell out when a star wears your stuff, instead, nobody is gonna want that dress! but, i’m not that nuts about the front of it either… and you know, i know katie critiquing is getting old, but wth? she always has dead eyes… has all the life been drained out of her?! what happened? is it that anti-cruise sentiment that has done this to her, or cruise/scientology? it just seems seriously SERIOUSLY messed up.
