We knew that Mariah and Nick’s babies’ names started with an ‘M,’ and now we FINALLY know what they are!
You won’t believe what Mariah Carey, 42, and Nick Cannon, 30, named their newborn twins! See what the couple decided on after the jump!
Ready for it? The girl’s name is Monroe Cannon, named after Marilyn Monroe, and the boy’s name is Moroccan Scott Cannon, nickname “Roc.” “Scott” stands for Nick’s middle name and his grandmother’s maiden name.
Moroccan also represents the top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment, which is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor. Nick proposed to Mariah in the room too!
Baby Monroe does not have a middle name because Mariah doesn’t have one — girls unite! But, considering she was named after Mariah’s lifelong inspiration, Marilyn, we’re sure she’ll be A-OK!
“It has been a long, emotional journey for this family,” Mariah’s rep, Cindi Berger, tells CNN, “and I couldn’t be happier for all of them.”
Congrats to the new parents and the twins, who have pretty cool names!
