Boxer Manny Pacquiao is raising awareness for Filipino charity Gawad Kalinga, a cause that is also close to Charice’s heart!

How are Charice and boxing related? By charity of course! Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao is taking on Sugar Shane Mosley this Saturday for their big fight. The fighter will wear yellow gloves in support of Gawad Kalinga, an organization that has built 50,000 homes in the Philippines and housed over 500,000 people for low-cost housing. This is the same cause Charice is supporting!

Manny will box Sugar with yellow gloves “to represent movement and hope.” Jejomar Binjay, the Vice President of the Philippines, is flying into Las Vegas to show support for Manny and the Gawad Kalinga charity. Also showing support? Black Eyed Peas’s Taboo and apl.de.ap! The duo will head to Vegas in support of the cause, and they’ll be releasing a song with Charice and Jasmine Villegas to raise awareness for Gawad Kalinga. More on that here!

Manny is also doing a call to action — asking everyone to wear yellow to fight night. Our source tells us, “He is not only fighting to win, he’s fighting to end poverty. When he goes to the Philippines, he is a celebrated hero. He is called ‘bayani’, which means hero.”

Sounds like a wonderful cause! What do you think of Manny and Charice’s charitable efforts?

Definitely consider that which you stated. Your favourite reason seemed to be at the web the easiest factor to keep in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed whilst other people think about concerns that they plainly do not recognize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest as smartly as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , other people can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thanks

What do Manny Pacquiao and Charice have in common? Their family name starts with letter P. Good thing they support charities.
