We told you first! Ryan Murphy wants everyone to be able to experience the ‘Glee’ tour, so they’re making a 3-D movie that will hit theaters in August!

Nearly a year ago, brought you the exclusive story that the Glee cast members signed contracts that included up to three movie deals based on the series — and the first film is coming to fruition!

Our sister site, TV Line, is reporting Glee Live! 3D! will hit theaters August 12 and will be based on footage shot during the cast’s upcoming tour.

“We knew that not every fan who wanted to attend a concert would get that opportunity. Now… we’ll be able to bring the concert experience to movie theaters across the country in full three-dimensional glory,” the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, said. “We promise every passionate ‘Gleek’ a cinematic experience that will have them singing and dancing in the aisles.”

The Glee tour kicks off May 21 and stars all the major cast members from the show.
