When we say Charice is on a mission to save the world, we’re actually not exaggerating. The Filipina phenomenon is teaming with none other than Jasmine Villegas for a new single to benefit Gawad Kalinga, a Philippines-based international organization dedicated to building sustainable communities and putting an end to poverty worldwide. And only HollywoodLife.com has all the scoop on their epic collaboration, “One Voice.”

“We’re in the finishing stages right now,” Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas, who produced the song along with bandmate apl.de.ap, tells us exclusively. “Charice was just in here, and she’s got an amazing voice. She’s just a mega power house when it comes to her singing capabilities.”

And because Gawad Kalinga is an international organization, Taboo feels the song — written by Jeremy Monongdo (aka “Passion“) – will also represent two countries blending together in sweet, sweet harmony: ”It shows Mexico and the Philippines coming together for one voice, and one cause,” he says.
