The royal wedding was the hottest topic of the weekend and HollywoodLifers had tons of opinions on everything from the guests’ fashion choices, to Camilla and the Queen and Pippa’s skin tone. Do YOU agree with these readers?
We’ve loved reading each and every one of your comments about the royal wedding! Whether you’re English, American or another international HollywoodLifer, your opinions came through loud and clear. Here were some of our personal favorites!
On the dress
Lady Amelia Josephine Patsy Tramway:
Look at the big picture, she has made a smart choice; as a commoner selecting her cues in design from Grace Kelly she is smart positioning herself into their realm. Graceful and elegant the “firm” can’t complain, she’s ready and perfect to take them to the next level. Diana would be proud.
On Beatrice and Eugenie’s hats:
Divne Miss M:
Both young women looked totally atrocious in their respective head dresses. Eugenie looks like something is going to lay an egg and Beatrices’ bow thing is completely obnoxious. These girls are due for a spot on What NOT To Wear.
On Camilla and the Queen:
I do know from sources that Prince Charles wants to be King and also wants Camilla (Horseface) as she is known with the British public as Queen! But we all know that if that were to be announced there would be a public outcry, an uprising because we the British Public DO NOT WANT HORSEFACE as the QHEEN of OUR COUNTRY!
On the Middletons:
Pippa looked fantastic – spray tan or not! In fact I thought the whole Middleton family, including the men were absolutely impeccable in dress, style, looks, manners – the lot! More Regal than the Royals in fact. Our Royal Family have become arrogant and complacent about their personal style and dress sense. It’s as if they feel they don’t have to try like the rest of us because they think being Royal means they’re automatically impeccable. Sadly, they aren’t – whether in their dress, personalities or behaviour but that’s another story. Thankfully Diana provided two decent young men with personalities and senses of humour which the Royal family need so much. I was dismayed at Harry letting the side down by not getting a decent haircut for the wedding. And I looked at the whole Middleton family on Friday and I thought “Thank God! At last we’re going to get the Royal Family we truly deserve.”
On Pippa’s spray tan:
I think Pippa looked beautiful and did a wonderful job in her role for her sister. There were some shots of her with such love and pride on her face at her sister…choked me up. I wish she’d avoid the spray tan in the future though. She doesnt need it. What ever happened to the beauty of porcelain skin?
