When Mariah and Nick twins gatecrashed the couple’s plans to renew their wedding vows on their third anniversary they did it in hospital instead! Good idea or a bit too much?
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had planned to mark the anniversary of their Bahamas wedding with a ceremony on April 30, but their twins — nicknamed ‘Dem Babies’ — had other ideas!
The pair popped out the very same day – but the happy deliveries didn’t stop the couple. They drafted celebrity minister Rev. Al Sharpton to conduct the wedding at Mariah’s LA hospital bedside, just a day late — and with the twins as witnesses!
Nick broke the news on Twitter: “Thank you to The Rev Al who came all the way to the hospital to renew me and my wife’s vows and pray with our children… Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!”
The change of plans had another happy outcome — it meant Reverend Al could give Mariah & Nick’s new bundles a special blessing. The Rev. reveals, “I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3rd anniversary. I had prayer with them and the babies… I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins. Mariah looks great, and the babies are beautiful… I am so moved by the sincere spiritual commitment of Mariah and Nick. They have not let success separate them from God. I am so proud.”

they don’t have to and they’ve said before that they chose to to remind themselves of how much they love each other so it’s no nauseating at all. don’t begrudge them that traditon nor anything else. the fact that Nick stayed with her after the miscariage proves true love most men would’ve walked away.
