Kate was radiant in her wedding gown — but did the lacy dress live up to Diana’s lofty standards?
The April 29 Royal Wedding couldn’t have been more glamorous, but did the gown live up to the royal family’s other famous fashionista?
Kate Middleton looked like a true princess as she walked down the aisle in a lacy white gown, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The stellar satin dress was complete with a gorgeous ivory silk tulle veil and a 10-foot train.
On her special day in 1981, Princess Diana also donned a beautiful white gown made of antique lacy and an ivory silk taffeta. The spectacular, pearl-studded dress was custom-designed for the princess by Elizabeth and David Emanuel. And it contained an elaborate 25-foot train — slightly longer than Kate’s.
Both ladies stunned spectators around the world with their exquisite gowns! But in this tale of two dresses, who do YOU think looked more fabulous on their wedding day?
