Khloe has gotten married, written a book, and risen to mega-fame. But her best friend has been living in her shadow.

Khloe Kardashian just got a major wakeup call! The May 1 episode of Khloe & Lamar had a lot of tears and some major fights. Khloe has been best friends with Malika, her personal assistant since she was 15-years-old. But even thought Khloe though she was doing her bestie a favor by giving her a job, it turns out it was the downfall of their friendship.

Malika is trying to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. But she can’t go on auditions and run Khloe’s personal errands at the same time. Finally she tearfully goes to Khloe and tells her that she can’t be a friend and a co-worker. Khloe doesn’t completely understand so Malika storms out.

In the meantime, Rob Kardashian becomes very jealous of Lamar’s best friend Jamie. Jamie has caused problems ever since the first episode because it looks like he uses Lamar as a paycheck. But Rob feels like he can’t hang out with Lamar without Jamie interrupting their time together. It sounds a bit childish, because it actually was. Rob and Jamie finally play a game of pool and bury the hatchet. I know you were worried.

Malika shows up to one of Lamar’s Laker Games with her twin sister. When her sister runs to the bathroom, Malika and Khloe are alone in the stands. Ultimately they exchange some ‘I’m sorry, it’s my fault’ words, and they kiss and makeup. I bet you were very worried about that too.

The episode was just one of many dramatic plots this season. I’m surprised there’s not more of Kris Jenner‘s antics, because that’s actually pretty hilarious. I hope the season picks up a bit and focuses less on Rob.

But bottom line, don’t ever, EVER, work with a friend. It never ends well.
