Wow! Robert’s a little harsh. He isn’t terribly hopeful for the new bride and the rest of her life as a royal. But he did plan to watch the wedding!
Way to make Kate Middleton feel great about her new life as the Duchess of Cambridge, Robert Pattinson!
He doesn’t think that Kate’s life is going to be very awesome. “It’s going to be hard because people will lay responsibilities on her that seem totally irrelevant,” Rob tells the UK’s Radio Times magazine. “You can’t mess up, either. As an actor, you can kind of mess up, but not if you’re a royal. I’ve always liked the members of the royal family who couldn’t care less what anyone thinks: the ones who go, ‘I’m royalty — so shut up!’”
But did he plan to end up watching the wedding? “Definitely … I mean, they’re absolutely obsessed with it in America. It’s insane … but I guess it’s kind of a big deal. Actually, I think it’s really sort of fascinating.”
