Nick Cannon: 'Mariah Could Give Birth Any Second Now!' DUH!

Yeah Nick, you and Mariah have been telling us that for weeks — but when are those twins finally going to arrive?!

Soon-to-be dad, Nick Cannon, 30, appeared on The Ellen Show today, April 27, to talk to Ellen DeGeneres about the impending birth of his twins. Seriously though, we thought he and Mariah Carey would be showing off their baby boy and girl by now!

“We got the bags packed, I’m ready! It could happen tonight,” he tells Ellen. “I know we’ve been saying that for a couple of weeks. We are at the point now with the twins we are ready to go.”

Everyone has been waiting for weeks to hear the news about Mariah’s delivery, but with no avail! “She’s made it further with twins than most,” Nick explains. “I think they have college educations already!” We agree!

And although Nick and Mariah have stocked up on plenty of baby books, Nick is almost positive he won’t read any of them. “I heard the best advce is to take no advice because everybody’s different,” he says. “My mama didn’t use those books and I turned out alright!”

But, he did get some “advice” from fellow America’s Got Talent star Howie Mandel. Howie told Nick that he should “prepare now and don’t potty train” his daughter, so that when she reaches those dreaded teenage years, he won’t have a care in the world — nobody likes a party pooper!

Nick knows that his twins will be born into a famous family, but he’s ready to make sure there’s a sense of normalcy in their home. “They already got more clothes than I do!” he admits. “I have to figure out a way to keep them grounded.”

Not an easy task, especially when your wife is Mariah Carey, one of the most well-known divas in the world!

it should actually be any day now as they’re full term and have been for a few weeks. leave Mariah & Nick alone they’re excited as any expectant parents would be. are you suggesting she should’ve given birth early and risked the health of the babies

Very good point Courtney… That is the Hollywood trend you’re describing: Schedule a C-section right at 36 weeks to avoid those last few pounds at the end of the pregnancy.
Anyway, I am very happy for them and I’m sure Nick will do his very best to keep the kids grounded despite Mariah’s DIVAliciousness;-).

(No judgement from me: My husband has to keep me grounded with my 2 year old Princess!!;-))
