Should you ever be rude to your family, even if they’re in the wrong?

Your family is supposed to love and support you unconditionally, right? Wrong. While Khloe Kardashian is trying to get pregnant, her mom, Kris Jenner, not only calls her fat, but throws her unwarranted two cents in about Khloe’s marriage to Lamar Odom. Khloe, naturally, fought back. But should she have, given that Kris is her mother?

“I feel like you don’t care [about your role as a QuickTrim spokeswoman] and it’s very, very upsetting for me because I’ve worked so hard at creating what I think is a great deal for you girls and you’re NOT pulling your end of the weight,” Kris lashes out at her youngest daughter on the most recent episode of Khloe & Lamar.

Khloe responds by shouting, “You’re such a f***king lunatic and you’re sooo evil! That makes me feel like s**t mom. What the f**k honestly I’m too fat, I’m too this, I’m too that. Do you want me to get pregnant? Do you want me to lose weight? You tell me you want me to have a baby every second, but I can’t be on some crazy diet. I just don’t get what you want out of me!”

Ok, so perhaps Khloe didn’t express her hurt like a rational, calm adult, but she was in the right to tell her mother how she felt. Family is family, right? If you can’t be honest with your parents and siblings, who can you be honest with?

Khloe’s marriage is the business of two people: Lamar and Khloe. Khloe choosing to share with her mom is an unncessary honor, but Kris isn’t the third person in that relationship and needs to but out. Good on Khloe for telling her to do so.

Yes, you should do the same — just be careful in your approach. There’s no need to curse. You’re trying to prove you’re mature, no? Don’t revert back to your antagonized high school self just because you can.
