This is why being the Prez’s kids is cool: Willow Smith and Greyson Chance come to your Easter Egg roll.
First daughters Malia, 12, and Sasha, 9, took part in the famous Easter Egg Roll, officiated by their dad, President Barack Obama, and then sat back and watched 10-year-old Willow Smith and fellow child star Greyson Chance, 13, perform for 30,000 fans on the White House lawn. Yes, 30,000.
When it came to the Egg Roll, a Washington tradition since 1878, there was no favoritism from the Commander in Chief, he even gave one little girl a helping hand by flipping her egg over the finishing line when he spotted her struggling.
The theme of this year’s event was “Get Up And Go” and First Lady Michelle Obama, 47, seized the opportunity to promote her healthy eating campaign. She has traveled the US encouraging kids and adults to take more interest in nutrition, and she urged participants on Monday to take part in all the games and exercises on offer, including basketball, yoga, dancing and tennis.
Michelle also showed she practices what she preaches, getting on her feet when the concert kicked off, and dancing with Jada Pinkett-Smith while Willow whipped her hair back and forth and Greyson performed his hit single “Waiting Outside The Lines” and Jay-Z‘s “Empire State of Mind.”
Sounds like the White House had a “whippin’” good time!
