The Elysee Palace and senior ministers haven’t denied claims that the 43-year-old French first lady is pregnant.

Carla Bruni, 43, and her husband, French president Nicholas Sarkozy, 56, are reportedly expecting their first child together after marrying three years ago.

Neither The Elysee Palace nor senior ministers would confirm the pregnancy report — but they have not denied the claims either. Reportedly, the onetime supermodel is in the early stages of pregnancy.

French magazine Closer was the first to report the news under the title, “Pregnant at last,” but this publication has made claims that Carla was expecting in the past and all turned out to be false.

Carla, who has a son Aurelien, 9, from a previous relationship, has openly discussed her desire to have a baby with the president , saying, “I hope to, if I am young enough. It would be a dream.”

He has two sons, Pierre, 26, and Jean, 24, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, and a third son, Louis, 14, with his second wife, Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz.
