Whether you enjoy having one child, like Halle Berry, or eight, like Kate Gosselin, what would be your ideal number of kids?

Being a parent is hard work — it doesn’t matter if you have two kids or 19 kids and counting! But we’re sure some of you moms and dads out there have your own personal opinion on how many kids is too many kids. We found celebrity families that come in all sizes, so make your choice, one, two, three, four…

Two is always a nice number, as Joel Madden and Nicole Richie know very well. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Harlow, and a 1-year-old son, Sparrow. “I don’t think it’s fair to ask someone that had two [children] back to back if they’re going to have another one. Right now I’m like, ‘Nooo!’” Nicole, 29, laughed during an appearance on The Talk. “But you never know. I need a nap!”

And if Nicole thinks two is enough, imagine how Chris O’ Donnell feels, he’s got five little kids running around! “I love it,” Chris says of having five kids, Lily, 11, Chip, 10, Charles, 7, Finley, 5, and Maeve, 3. “I don’t have as much time with Maeve and Finn as I did when Lily and Chip were their age, and that makes me feel a bit bad. But they’re having a different experience; the kids create their own fun.”

But, of course, how could we forget Kate Gosselin – -she’s the single mother of eight! Now that’s A LOT to deal with (plus a reality show).
