When the guy you’re dating wants to introduce you to his fam it’s definitely a good sign — but it’s understandably nerve wracking! Check out my picks if you want to leave a lasting good impression!

With Passover and Easter upon us, many people are coming together — and if you have been dating someone for a while, he might have invited you to meet his family! While it’s definitely a good sign that things are getting serious, it can also be a stressful situation. It’s all about first impressions, which is why you should definitely spend some extra time putting your outfit together — check out Rachel Bilson in not one, but two outfits! The star manages to look effortlessly chic in both instances, incorporating spring style in a classy, conservative way.

You don’t want to be too dressed up but at the same time you definitely don’t want to look like you rolled out of bed — and be weary of being a label whore. Sure, you may have been lucky enough to score a gorgeous Chanel bag, but I would leave the designer duds at home — you don’t want to come off looking too flashy. In this case, the more simple and classic you keep your look the better, so you also want to leave your bodycon dress and sky-high booties at home.

That being said, I recommend channeling Rachel. She looks super stylish in her patterned Camilla & Marc dress and the length and silhouette are totally appropriate. In her second get-up, she opted for pants — I like the way they look as opposed to just wearing jeans. Don’t get me wrong, skinny jeans are totally perfect, but the pants can work well if you show up and everyone is dressed up or dressed down. Like Rachel, pay careful attention to the neckline — your boyfriend may find your plunging neckline super sexy, but his fam doesn’t need to know you’re well endowed!

I also think you need to opt for something you feel totally confident in — when you think you look good you’re sure to be a little more at ease!
