Are Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen Dressing Far Too Frumpy For Their Age?

The fashion design duo has an affinity for over-size clothing — but are they dressing more like grandmother’s than glam gals?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are mini fashion moguls at the helm of their contemporary, high-end brands The Row and Elizabeth & James — and while they may have a knack for creating stylish items cool girls love to wear, the get-ups they wear themselves are far from what you would expect to see on two 24-year-olds!

Sure, it isn’t shocking to see the twins wrapped in clothing that appears to be five sizes too big, but last night (Apr. 20) when they turned up at the premiere of The Union during the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, we were definitely let down by the way their clothing hung on their frame. While Ashley wore a pretty embroidered dress from The Row, you could hardly see it underneath her baggy sweater.

They have a knack for styling themselves in a chic way, piling on jewelry and luscious fur, but their look always gets pegged as more questionable than cute due to the way they cover themselves up from head to toe in shapeless looks.

What do you think? Do you love their signature style the way it is or do you wish they were dressing more appropriate for their age?
