How should Emily deal with her breakup from Brad?
Emily Maynard has been staying in with her 5-year-old daughter, Ricki, since dumping fiance Brad Womack by phone. What she hasn’t done: gone off clubbing or finding a rebound guy to mend her broken heart. But should she be?
“Emily has been at home and Brad hasn’t been there in weeks,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “Ricky’s mom has been by the house and Emily has been shuttling little Ricki back and forth to school. She hasn’t been out with the girls much — and she’s not talking to everyone about the breakup either.”
So what should Emily — and what should YOU do — after a bad breakup?
I’m not going to tell you not to go for that rebound guy, but you should be careful. If it someone who’s going to be a distraction or a bit of fun, then by all means, go for it. Just make sure you’re honest and up front about where you’re at – be fair to him.
What you really should be doing is taking time to heal. Go for the jumbo pints of Ben & Jerry’s, sappy films like Sleepless in Seattle and quality time with your best friends. Go ahead and don’t be afraid to cry – let it all out.
There’s no right way to cope with a breakup: do whatever makes you feel happier. Remember, nothing heals wounds like time.

Healing? Why does she need to heal? She dumped him. And she came on the show for fame. If she does love Brad, she would make it work. So I don’t pity her at all.
