Stefano Langone said goodbye tonight on ‘American Idol,’ but for a minute, we though it might be Haley Reinhart or Jacob Lusk. Are YOU bummed Stefano got the boot?
And then there were…six. After two consecutive weeks in the bottom three, Stefano Langone sang his swan song on American Idol April 21. But it wasn’t obvious who was getting the boot this week…
Also in the bottom was one of the last two girls — Haley Reinhart, who’s been in jeopardy FOUR times now — and also, Jacob Lusk, who had a technical glitch at the beginning of his performance the night before.
For the first time in awhile, I wasn’t totally shocked by the bottom three. I feel those were the appropriate contestants to be there.
At this point, only three contestants have been consecutively safe — Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery and James Durbin — and I think those will be our final three.
Who do YOU think is going to win season 10 of American Idol? Were you sad to say goodbye to Stefano, or was it his time? Sound off below!

i think haley has the ability to be a dark horse, and lauren has the ability to be another “surprise” to go (a la pia). i’m hoping for james, haley, and casey or jacob in the top three (even though haley has had such a precarious ride), and still hoping for james for the win. i’m worried that jacob has been mind-f’ed b/c that producer is always trying to reel him in from being too corny, but randy is saying to let loose, and i don’t know if he’s going to be able to sing with free abandon again— which is the only way he’s going to stay. nerves might kill him. sigh. in my perfect world, scotty goes next, then lauren (despite her gorgeous voice), then it gets hard… it really is all about how makes the right song choices, and not only doesn’t CHOKE, but really connects and shares with the audience… i don’t think either lauren or scotty are good at connecting and sharing, b/c they’re too young. but we’ll see what america says.
