Plus, read on to find out what the heck a ‘liquid face-lift’ is!

We barely recognized Jill Zarin when we saw her April 10 on the red carpet at the TV Land Awards, leading everyone to speculate whether or not the Real Housewives of New York City star went under the knife to achieve her new look. Now she’s setting the record straight, telling Us Weekly she had a liquid face-lift.¬†“I have not had any work done,” Jill tells the mag. “My makeup artist, Jim Crawford, contoured my face, and people thought I had a nose job!” So what exactly is a liquid face-lift?

Dr. David J. Goldberg, chief of dermatology at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, tells HollywoodLife.com that the process of a liquid face-lift involves the injection of liquid fillers into a patient’s face.

“In the past, fillers were used only for smile lines,” Dr. Goldberg tells us. “Now we can use specialized fillers in the cheek and along the jawline to give natural-looking cheek fullness and a lift of the jawline. These fillers are usually either Radiesse or Sculptra.”

Or if you prefer a simpler answer, Jill tells the magazine: “It firms up the skin and keeps it tight. Most people think I look different, in a good way.”
