Tensions erupt when Jordan is forced to choose between her twin sister and boyfriend now that she’s a teen mom!
Jordan and her twin sister, Jessica, were attached at the hip when they dropped out of high school to pursue a career in modeling, but both of their dreams were put on hold when Jordan got pregnant. Jordan is lucky she has so much help from her boyfriend Brian and sister, but when her two allies start competing for her attention the pressure becomes too much for Jordan to handle.
Jordan fell head over heels with her boyfriend Brian, and within months she found herself 16 and pregnant. Jordan and her sister were inseparable, but the new baby and boyfriend threw a wrench in their relationship.
Jessica felt pushed out of Jordan’s life when Brian came into the picture, especially when he moved into their house. Tensions erupted when Brian didn’t want Jessica in the birthing room, but Jordan fought to have her sister with her for the big moment.
Unfortunately things didn’t get any easier for Jordan when baby Noah came. With lack of sleep and the frustrations of being a new mom, there were monstrous meltdowns — and Jessica and Brian’s constant bickering didn’t make the situation any better. It wasn’t until a shocking health scar occured the two were able to put their differences aside and support Jordan as she dealt with her newborn son having acid reflux disease.
This episode was the first 16 and Pregnant that focused on disrupted relationships with siblings, rather than partners. While baby daddy drama is always more exciting, it was interesting to see how much Jordan’s pregnancy affected the life of her twin sister.
While one twin got to go out and have fun with her friends, the other was stuck at home with a colicky baby and stretch marks. For a season premiere, it was a slow episode, but very honest about how unglamorous it is when a teenager has to give up her jet setting lifestyle for diapers and breastfeeding.
