Katherine Heigl Looks Like A Cowgirl! Is It Cute Or Too Costume-y?

The blonde star was totally channeling her inner Western princess in her fringed get-up! What did you think of her outfit?

Katherine Heigl usually keeps her look fairly classic and comfortable when she’s out and about, which is why I was surprised to see the star experiment with this cowgirl inspired get-up on Apr. 18 in LA.

Katherine swapped her jeans for a fringed Ralph Lauren leather skirt from the spring 2011 collection and a bell sleeved blouse. She accessorized with slouchy boots, an animal print Valentino bag, and a Ralph Lauren belt.

While I appreciate her switching her up style, I wasn’t crazy for this get-up — it seemed a little too over the top for Katherine. I also wish she opted for a thicker belt and wore it higher.

What do you think?

Don’t call her a cowgirl until you see her ride – I don’t know of a single one of my friends, all of us actually ride horses daily, who would ever wear that ensemble. The boots are the kicker, we’d never do that.
