Kate and her bridesmaids and pageboys went through their paces for the first time at Westminster Abbey – but Prince William couldn’t make it!
The royal wedding is just weeks away, but where in the world is Prince William? Kate Middleton had to take her first rehearsal steps without the man she is to marry on April 29!
Kate, 29, was joined by best man Prince Harry, her sister Pippa Middleton – Kate’s maid of honor — and the rest of the royal bridal party.
“We can confirm that Catherine Middleton and Prince Harry took part in a rehearsal at Westminster Abbey this morning,” a royal rep told US Weekly.
William, 28, did not attend because he was in Wales, on duty with the Royal Air Force. You’d think he could put in for a leave — even without pulling rank as a future king!

If I recall correctly, Prince Charles also did not attend the rehearsals for his wedding, because as it was reported, he had attended so many official functions, that he knew what to do — just tell him what time to be there, that’s all he needed. If I am correct, Prince William won’t be walking down the aisle anyway — I believe he comes in from the side at the altar — I think only the reigning monarch, like Prince Albert of Monaco, walks down the aisle to meet the bride.
