Vote: Do YOU hope ‘One Tree Hill’ gets a ninth season? Austin (and HollywoodLife) sure do!
When you live in Tree Hill, you need to be prepared for anything: crashing limousines, psycho nanny attacks, and yes, even the possibility of cancelation. As One Tree Hill‘s eighth season comes to a close — the final five episodes begin April 19 at 8 p.m. on The CW — the show’s fate remains uncertain.
But Austin Nichols tells HollywoodLife.com that all hope is not lost!
“Our writers, and [creator] Mark Schwann, try to wrap things up in a way that would be satisfying,” he teases. “But I know there also are seeds for the future that are planted.”
“This happened last year, and I think this happens a lot in television,” he continues. “When the writers are writing the end of the season, they often don’t know if it’s the end or not. … I don’t know what’s up my boss’s sleeve, but I imagine we might have possibile different endings.”
Austin’s hopeful words echo those of Mark, who tells Zap2it the cast and crew were “invigorated” while shooting the final five episodes and are definitely interested in continuing with the series.
From your mouth to God’s ears, Mark!
