Recently there has been some uproar about a J.Crew ad featuring it’s lead designer painting her son’s toe nails pink. But J.Lo says, come on, it’s just paint!

J.Crew’s creative designer Jenna Lyons isn’t the only one that paints her son’s nails. We know Gwen Stefani is open about taking her boys Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 2, for manicures and pedicures, and now, another celebrity mom has admitted that her son gets his nails done too! People‘s most beautiful woman in the world, Jennifer Lopez!

“He wants to paint his nails too. Because for him, it’s just paint,” J.Lo tells People magazine of her 3-year-old son, Max, with Marc Anthony. “He’s like, ‘I want the blue!’ Then Marc is like, ‘Why are Max’s nails painted?!’ But he won’t sit still so it’s only like two nails.”

And we’re sure Max’s twin sister Emme is a huge mani/pedi person, considering Jennifer says she’s just like her! Emme showed off her freshly-painted pink manicure to her mommy during her People interview, exclaiming, “pretty and pink!”

“Yeah, she’s amazing,” Jennifer explains, “She’s such a girly girl. Just like a mini me.”

I don’t see anything wrong with painting the boy’s nails. The kids see it as something fun and artistic. If my son wanted his nails done I would be ok with it.
