After months in rehab dealing with her demons, Demi Lovato has emerge happier, healthier and is spreading a positive message for the world!
At the end of 2010, Demi Lovato, 18 was a shadow of her former, perky, Disney persona. Insecurities and the pressure to be perfect sent Demi on a downward spiral that ended her up in treatment. Fortunately, the multi-talented teen has bounced back and teamed up with Seventeen magazine and the JED Foundation to spread the message “Love is stronger than the pressure to be perfect.”
Demi is taking what she has learned in recent months to be a positive influence by letting the world know there are ways to relieve and deal with overwhelming stress and pressure.
“There’s a ton of pressure out there to meet impossible standards,” she says. “To look right, be smart, be thin, talented and popular. Many of us feel like we have to be everything to everyone, but it doesn’t have to be that way.”
Demi is hoping her message gets to as many people as possible. She’s asking everyone to snap a photo of themselves with the message: “Love is stronger than the pressure to be perfect.” Some of the photos submitted will be included in an exclusive video message.
We’re proud of you Demi! Keep it up!
