An expectant mom plunged into a comatose state after her baby died in her womb — apparently because the stillborn child turned toxic.

A 34-year-old woman in Trinidad was left in critical condition after a heartbreaking stillbirth. Now her grief-stricken relatives say it may be because her private doctor didn’t order emergency surgery!

Michelle Chang-Ragoonath fell into a coma after a Caesarian section that came too late, her loved ones say.

“We were told that the baby died in her and remained there for two to three days even though she went to her doctor…and was told that everything was fine,” a female relative told the Trinidad Express Newspapers.

That meant Michelle didn’t know her baby had died and that she was being slowly poisoned by her lost child!

The newspapers say a medical source revealed that Michelle was admitted to Mount Hope Hospital on April 3.

“We stabilized her and then realized that the baby was not moving so we performed the emergency surgery. That was when we removed the baby and realized that something was terribly wrong,” the source said, adding that the level of  sepsis indicates the baby may have been dead for two to three days.

The hospital had no contact with Michelle’s private doctor and had no medical history for her.

Michelle was placed on a ventilator. Now her doctors and her family hope autopsy results on the baby may solve some of the mystery of this horrific tragedy.
