Jill V. Alex! Is their personal rift going to be a huge highlight of the new season? It all starts tonight!
The Real Housewives of New York City return to Bravo tonight with an all-new Season 4 — and the drama begins right off the bat! With Bethenny Frankel no longer part of the cast, it looks like Jill Zarin may have a new enemy — Alex McCord.
Alex ends up attending the same wedding – unbeknownst to Jill until she sees her there. Caught off guard, Alex starts slamming Jill with questions.
“So wait, I am totally confused now,” Alex says. “You told me a week ago that you knew I was coming to the wedding, but Ramona said you texted her this morning asking her if I was coming. So which is the truth?”
“Why does it matter to you?” Jill asks.
“The only reason it matters is because it’s contradictory,” Alex quickly responds.
“Alex, so what?,” Jill says, getting defensive. “I am happy to see you. It’s a beautiful wedding. We both have a mutual friend. Is there a problem for you? There is no problem for me.”
“I am not the one calling the bride and texting Ramona to find out,” Alex says. “When you hear A and B coming out of the same person’s mouth, you wonder which is it …”
Whoa! And the drama begins!
HollywoodLife.com caught up with Jill and got the chance to ask her about her relationship with Alex during this season.
“It was straned and awkward,” Jill tells us. “I would say it’s [because] things that happened off-camera over the summer. There was just a lot of social media attacks on me and my family that I was not happy about. I definitely had anxiety seeing her again for the first time with the camera rolling.”
Could it be possible that Alex is jealous of Jill, who has achieved so much — launching her Skweez Couture Shapewear line, writing Secrets of a Jewish Mother and promoting her successful bedding line?
“I think that anyone’s success is enviable and that it takes a lot of hard work,” Jill tells us. “But I have no doubt that Alex will find her path if that’s what she wants to do. I hope that she does.”
