Lebron’s mom Gloria James taken into custody at the landmark Fontainebleau Hotel — police charge her with assaulting a parking valet!
Gloria James — mother of NBA mega-star LeBron James — was arrested April 7 after an early-morning incident at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, police tell the Miami Herald.
TMZ.com reports Gloria was partying at the hotel’s LIV nightclub with friends and got into a dispute with the parking attendant when she was leaving. Police were called at 4:47am.
Miami Beach police say Gloria confronted valet Sorel Rockfeller after he brought her car for pickup, allegedly saying, “Where are my [expletive] keys?”
Miami’s CBS4 news, citing the arrest report, says Gloria “struck the victim with an open hand across the right side of the face” and then she fell to the ground herself. Officers say Gloria’s eyes were bloodshot and that she had a “strong odor of alcohol on her breath.”
Gloria — who gave birth to LeBron when she was 16 — had another run-in with the law in 2006, when she was arrested on a DUI charge in Ohio.
LeBron, 26, played for the Cavaliers in Cleveland until joining the Miami Heat in a blockbuster deal to play in South Florida this season.
