Little Ali finally took her first steps with the help of leg braces and a walker—but the stress is really getting to poor Leah.

Fans of Teen Mom 2 have all been eagerly awaiting an update on cast favorite Leah Messer‘s daughter, Ali. Now, the news has broken that although the doctors still don’t know why the adorable toddler is handicapped, she has finally taken her first steps with the aid of a walker and hot-pink leg braces! That’s amazing! But what’s not so amazing is that the stress of dealing with Ali’s health issues has taken a dark toll on 18-year-old Leah.

Leah took both of her twin girls to Sunday school on April 3, and a witness tells In Touch that Leah “looked as if she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.” Sources close to Leah say that she is now facing the facts and knows that baby Ali might never be totally healthy.

And Leah’s marriage to baby-daddy Corey Simms is suffering, too. A source tells In Touch that Leah got back together with Corey and married him “largely for the sake of her ailing daughter”—but she now may regret that decision. “She knows the girls are already at a disadvantage and doesn’t want them to be from a broken home, too,” says the source to In Touch. Poor Leah! We love her and think she should get her own show!
