While Kate was complaining about her ex-husband Jon Gosselin on ‘Today’ in NYC — who watched the kids?
Kate Gosselin is talking out of both sides of her mouth. The reality mom-of-eight sat down for an interview with Matt Lauer to dish about her April 4 Kate Plus 8 episode but she spent quite a bit of time bashing her ex-hubby Jon Gosselin! But here’s the thing, while Kate was doing press in the Big Apple — where were the kids?
Granted, all of the children are in school except for Alexis and Collin (who were expelled from kindergarten) and Jon has a 9-5 job now. But let’s be real for a moment. It would be shocking if Kate woke up at her Reading, Pa., home at 5am before her Today Show interview morning to drive in for her interview. She most likely stayed at a swanky NYC hotel the night before so that she could be fresh-faced for the interview.
Which means, who did Kate leave the kids with? While Kate was attempting to get sympathy by telling Matt she and the kids wish Jon would help out more — Kate left the kids at home with teen babysitters!
Don’t you think Jon would’ve watched the little ones on Sunday evening and fed them dinner? Of course! Kate said that Jon only sees the children twice a month — but our sources reveal that it’s only because she doesn’t give Jon the opportunity to watch the children on unscheduled days!
On last night’s Kate Plus 8 episode Kate prominently displayed her babysitters, only one of which would agree to be filmed on camera. We know Kate needs extra help, but if Kate wanted Jon to be in the kids lives more — all she needs to do is pick up the phone!
Do you think it’s hypocritical that Kate left the kids at home with babysitter?

I have to ask mam why you’re so judgmental of a fellow mommy!? That is no way for a lovely, beautiful lady such as yourself to act. I also question why in the world you’d allow your child’s face to be posted online for ANYONE to see. Aren’t you worried about his safety when he’s not in your care? Someone very mentally ill could indeed track your family down and slash your tires, or worse break into your home, as Kate has mentioned in her last book, she dealt with many security issues including slashed tires.
I also wanted to ask if you know about Jon’s past behavior regarding the custody issues??? How about the time Jon called the cops on Kate simply because she didn’t want the kids with a sitter while in “his care.” The cops basically said she had to leave it was the law she’s not allowed to be there if Jon says no. It goes BOTH WAYS doll. So please do not disparage her for celebrating her birthday and leaving the kids with amazingly capable and well-loved sitters! I for one, live on a very low income with no familial or government assistance and I would absolutely LOVE to do something nice for my birthday other than watching a 1.99 rental! Granted I do work 2 jobs and I’m still very young so I have many years to work my way up, but even I know we have to take care of ourselves in order to serve best those we do.
I pray you find balance in your thoughts and that you are rereading and redrafting before posting. I also pray that you’re not serious about journalism because if there’s one thing a proper journalist simply does not do, it’s to make their opinions about the subject known!
