Neither the young girl nor her parents knew she was expecting a baby until she gave birth during a class trip!
This is just sad. A 12-year-old Dutch school girl, from Groningen in the north of Netherlands, was out with her classmates on Tuesday, March 22, when she began to experience terrible stomach pains. Turns out those pains were contractions and she unknowingly was in labor.
“Neither the girl nor her family had realized she was pregnant, and there were no external signs to show it,” a spokesman for the health services tells UK’s The Telegraph, adding that he did not know how many months pregnant the girl had been.
An adult chaperone called emergency services for help after the pains became suspicious. The ambulance showed up and took the young girl to the hospital, where she delivered a baby girl.
Both the girl and her baby “are doing well” in the maternity ward of a Groningen hospital, the spokesman adds.
A social worker is now looking after the baby, and Dutch authorities are investigating the pregnancy of the girl. Police have interviewed the girl and are trying to determine who the father is. Wow. Pretty shocking.

I’m from the Netherlands and the latest update on the father is that the girls father is actually the father of the child. They did a DNA test and the mother and child are both in fostercare.
