Armie has been confirmed as the prince and Saoirse might play Snow White in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White but is that age-appropriate? And does Saoirse have what it takes to pull off Snow White better than Kristen Stewart?

Armie Hammer is set to play Prince Andrew Alcott in Relativity Media’s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White movie which already features Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen. Our sister site Deadline reports Saoirse Ronan is “in discussion” for the title role of Snow White. But do you think 24-year-old Armie and 16-year-old Saoirse should be cast as romantic leads together?

Armie, of Social Network fame, and Julia Roberts will be directed by Tarsem Singh. Saoirse, whom you might recognize from Atonement, is significantly younger than the other two main actors and, if cast, would handle the tough task of playing a role which Kristen Stewart has already signed on for in similar movie, Snow White and the Huntsman. Relativity is trying to get their version done in June 2012 before Kristen’s movie premieres in December 2012.

What do you think of Saoirse being cast alongside Armie, who is eight years older than her? And who would do a better job as Snow White — Kristen Stewart or Saoirse Ronan? Let us know below!

Although way past it’s prime, even if Ronan was cast in this (the director wanted an older actress so it went to Lily Collins) I wouldn’t have a problem because she seems like a rare talent who can zone in on a character and switch her emotions that pertains to the role from on to off once the director says cut. Other than that I hope Collins does well in this film – if Ronan was considered then the script must’ve been good, and Collins isn’t exactly known for her acting chops. There’s a significant drop off between Ronan and Collins. I hope Singh made the right choice because looking doe eyed at the camera isn’t really acting.

And it’s nice to see some rational postings by jason.

If these two were nobodies, nobody would be making a mountain out of molehill in this non-issue of age.

It’s Hollywood they like to tart up girls early then dump them when they reach 30. The love interest get younger and younger. Soon it will be 12 year old girls and 24 year old men. It’s not like there are no famous 24 year old girls to play the love interest. It’s sick, just sick.

HollywoodLife, as usual, is either clueless or totally hypocritical.

Dakota Fanning (17) is set to be the love interest of a 30 year old guy in “Mississippi Wild”.

But, does HL say anything….NO.

I thought about not saying anything to see if HL would even investigate and then I remembered…IT’S HOLLYWOODLIFE…they’re complete idiots and have no fact checking whatsoever.

btw HL, you’re piece on “is it appropriate” for an 8 year age difference seems pretty STUPID considering Dakota and Ryan are 13 years apart in age.

It’s a number. It’s business. Who cares? If they were shagging for fun, then so be it and let the police (if they handled it) deal with the issue. But since it’s Hollywood, why should anyone care? They’re “professionals” in their “field.”

My vote, let all be the way they wish, until it hurts someone. Unless someone is hurt, romantically, physically, emotionally, metaphysically or otherwise, what is the issue?

I agree, unless they’re hurt ecumenically.

“…if they were shagging for fun…”

Wow. Let’s just totally remove the romance and love factor and just shag for the pure hell of it. Who cares about family, about children, about legacy, about society, about the greater village we all live in? It’s all about mutual masturbation.

Only a woman would say “…shagging for fun..”.
