Vanessa mourns Liz’s passing — and tells HollywoodLife.com why the legendary actress known as the most beautiful woman in movies meant so much to her.
Vanessa Hudgens may be a young starlet — but she knows her Hollywood history! When we saw her as she dazzled on the red-carpet for the LA premiere of her new girl-power action flick Sucker Punch, we asked for her thoughts on the death of movie queen Elizabeth Taylor.
“I think she is totally wonderful,” Vanessa, 22, said on March 23. “I adore her and I am very saddened by her loss. She is a timeless classic beauty.”
Vanessa joins the long line of young stars and A-listers, like Kim Kardsashian, who are remembering Liz, 79, as an inspiring icon.

People who claim to admire Elizabeth Taylor so much might bother googling to obtain more information about her. One thing that surely would come up is the fact she was quoted as insisting she detested being called “Liz.” So, when you’re showing some respect for the woman, truly respect her and don’t shorten her name to something that made her cringe. Personally, I didn’t have all that much appreciation for her body of work or how she conducted her personal life, but even I will give her that much.
Signed,
Mother of Another Elizabeth
(And don’t call mine Liz either!)
