Katie's Parents Are Trying To Save Suri From Scientology!

Suri Cruise’s grandparents are concerned about the effect Tom’s religion is having on her, Life & Style is reporting.

Scientologists believe that children should be treated like adults and allowed to make their own decisions, so that’s how Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are raising their daughter, Suri, 4. Well, maybe that explains why in recent weeks we’ve seen Suri out of bed for 1 a.m. dinners, playing with penis-shaped candies, drinking from a bottle, and still being allowed to use a pacifier at nearly five-years-old! Katie’s Midwestern parents, Martin and Kathleen, “are really upset,” an insider tells Life & Style.“They’re very worried that Tom isn’t letting Suri enjoy the childhood she deserves because of his Scientology beliefs.”

“Suri often throws temper tantrums when she’s out with Katie and Tom,” the insider says. And when Suri throws a tantrum, her parents give her whatever she wants. An eyewitness tells Life & Style that during one of those late-night trip to Serendipity restaurant in NYC on March 15, Katie and a nanny couldn’t get Suri into her car seat. “As always, Suri won and didn’t have to sit in her car seat,” says the witness.

So are Katie’s parents right? Is this a symptom of Scientology? Or is Suri just plain spoiled?

No way they are going to change. That is how Tom raised his other two kids. Nicole hasn’t seen them at all apparently. She gave them over to Tom to raise. Pathetic mom-says the kids want it that way. Of course-they are brainwashed. The only reason they have stayed out of trouble is that they are watched 24/7. It’s a controlling cult, they are not going to let those kids be typical teenagers. They don’t go to regular schools or have friends their age outside of scient. I doubt Suri has ever had a true playdate-maybe with other scient. families. Katie drank the kool-aid and Tom is too powerful with his money for her to ever get custody if they broke up. Sorry grandparents.

I think it’s ridicoulus that this child is allowed to have whatever she wants whenever she wants. She needs to learn discipline at an early age or the rest of her life is going tO be screwed. Just let her be a kid.

“Scientologists believe that children should be treated like adults and allowed to make their own decisions,”

I’ve been a Scientologist for 30 years and the above statement is terribly misleading. It’s this sort of misinformation that opens the door to people having the wrong concept of Scientology. If you want to know what L. Ron Hubbard ACTUALLY says about how to raise children go here:

The Travolta family practice scientology and their children seen lovely. John works with children who want to become pilots and I think he is wonderful, I’ve seen him first hand, no control or brainwashing there. With Suri, the pacifyer, in nature we ween are young naturally, I realize we are not animals but she is 5 years old, I’m sorry no NUK! To me it seems she is in need of the Mother/child bond that is created when you are and infant, the sometimes but not necessary act of breastfeeding, the sucking motion sooths the child and allows them to feel secure and close to their mother, thus creating the bond, or simply just feeling close to and bonding with your Mother. I’m not a doctor but I know that bond is very important! Perhaps it is that she was/is allowed to behave or is treated as an adult… perhaps the Mother/child bond was never formed at all. From what we actually see (not hearsay or gossip) Suri does seem to be in charge! Children are not supposed to be, (mentioned earlier by someone else) they do NOT have the emotional or intellectual maturity at that age, it is not even possible, their brains are not developed enough for them to make those types of decisions. Can you imagine trying to contol your life at that age, it is hard enough as an adult, no wonder she is so insecure that she needs a Nuk! Nicole’s children seem happy, seems like it’s a Tom and Kate combo. I will say, there is no way I would ever let my husband or child’s father have ALL the say in my childs upbringing, it’s called a Mothers instinct for a reason. Hope the child turns out alright for her sake. I agree it is their family business, it absolutely is, we are not giving or expecting Tom and Kate to take our advice! That does not mean others don’t have an opinion, just as you have an opinion that we should not have an opinion! We still feel a concern for a child that they seem to constantly have in the public eye. No one wants a child to be so spoiled that (as mentioned earlier by someone else) they become self destructive maybe even suicidal as a teenager, it is hard enough to be a teenager, especially a famous one! I have no comment on scientology, freedom of religion is part of being a citizen of the U.S. P.S. For the teenage caregiver, good for you, just remember discipline should be given with RESPECT.

Suri is being raised by a man that still believes he is 25 years old and still has the career he had back then. Cruise is too busy resurrecting himself to care about Suri or Katie Holmes. They are ornaments he uses for PR. Cruise is being investigated, by the FBI, along with the faith for using others right now. He is also a man that used to believe in God (by going into a Monastery) and now feels he is a ‘God’ because Scientologists believe they are Aliens, not human. That makes a huge difference. Katie is being slowly brain washed by Tom and his cult. Unless she decides to run, like Mimi Rodgers and Nicole Kidman ( Tom’s other two wives ). She will never leave Scientology or Cruise. Cruise’s daughter Bella is trying to run right now. She is trying to leave Cruise’s home and move in with Nicole Kidman – she realizes something is terribly wrong. Suri is too young to have a choice unless someone takes her out of there. Unless Katie can break free or her family breaks in – Suri is stuck where she is. In an abnormal existence.

Who cares about this situation. These people earn millions of dollars and they do not care about YOU. They only want you to continue to spend your hard-earned money on their movies…Leave these people alone in their happiness or sorrow. If they feel something is wrong, they will seek help!

Instead of lecturing people for being interested in this situation, you should consider practicing what you preach.

Spoiled. But if she has frequent long tantrums, she might be autistic? Autistic children like having pacifiers too.

Katie is going to keep her mouth shut about how that child if raised because she likes her new lifestyle, designer clothes, designer bags, luxury homes and cars, she has everything money can buy and she likes it. Don’t believe me just look at the before and after Tom photos and tell me she is not living the dream. She knew in order to have that lifestyle she would have to sacrifice a little so she walked away from her faith, her family, her values as well as her common sense. I mean REALLY who goes into a relationship and walks away from all they knew and loved? Who signs a waiver that your new faith will advice you on the raising of your child? Who signs a waiver that you will give up all rights to your child if the marriage should end? Who allows a church to test you and probe you and make you write down deep thought, emotion, feelings, fear, regret, and desire and then lock it in a safe that YOU don’t have the key too? I mean who does that? Someone who will stop at nothing for fame and fortune……Period. Does anyone else wonder why this YOUNG, HEALTHY, ATTRATIVE women doesn’t have any more children; she didn’t have a problem getting herself knocked up the first time? OOPS I forgot Suri was her foot in the door mom

This has less to do with Scientology and more to do with her being a spoiled because TOm and Katie are lazy parents. Having your child up at 1 am for dinner is the parent’s choice, not the child’s. Letting her sit in a moving car without her car seat is dangerous and illegal. The nanny should have just sat in the car and not driven anywhere until Suri got in the seat and was properly restrained. Letting her always have her way will lead to her being a horrible, out-of-control teenager that will make Lindsay Lohan’s escapades pale in comparison.

While I doubt Katie’s parents are trying to do anything about this (in Scientology they shun people who oppose their ways, and if Tom wants, he can have Katie’s parents declared “suppressive persons” and Katie will not be allowed to see or talk to her parents again for fear she would be declared as well and lose Suri.

Katie needs to open her eyes and put her child’s needs first.

Wow seriously!? I am a teenager still living at home with my mom and if I had child I would never allow him or her to act like that. I can just imagine how Suri’s life will unfold. She needs some discipline. I babysit for several different families and I have never put up with that kind of attitude from any of them. If they need a babysitter or a new nanny to help show them the proper way to raise a child I can help!

Sorry if this sounds rude but that is just disturbing.

The parents of Suri are being just that. And when Suri is in tune with their wishes…well that’s what it is all about.:)

Both, her parents are rich celebrities but on the other hand Toms beliefs are overshadowing his parental abilities or maybe they both are doing this to make sure they dont have much responsibility over Suri.

I know everyone has there belefs but this is crazy NO 4 year old she act talk or walk like an adult at all. shame on them she is so spoiled Kate and Tom give her whatever she wants..WRONG when my child threw a hugh fit in the store i left me chart with everything in it and took my child outside to the car and we left. Done and Done i feel sorry for the Suri in a way since her parents can’t or wont say NO. I hope the grandparents stand up to them and say something.

She is absolutly spoiled. It seems that scientology is a good method of shirking your parental responsibilities. Children are treated as children for a reason. Their brain hasn’t developed enough to be allowed to make adult-like decisions. Penis shaped candy is fine, Starbucks and not sitting in her carseat is abhorrant.

Aura, sorry, but you know jack-sh_t about Scientology and unfortunately those slimebags of tabloid writers still think that mentioning Scientology in their articles is a draw for more readers. That’s the only reason for the mention.

If true, hopefully Katie’s family can have some say. I would be concerned too if my grandchild was doing the things Suri is allowed to do.
