Vanessa Hudgens talks about big guns, hard training, and becoming the ultimate action starlet in her upcoming movie Sucker Punch!
Vanessa Hudgens has moved on from her High School Musical days, and is blossoming into one hardcore femme fatale! In a recent interview, she spills the scoop on her upcoming movie Sucker Punch and what it was like handling some pretty big guns!
“Shooting the big guns is the most exhilarating feeling I’ve ever had in my entire life. I mean as soon as I go through a round of the 50 cal. my heart basically stops beating and I just get the biggest rush, it’s incredible,” gushed Vanessa about having the opportunity to work with such huge firearms.
Vanessa is no longer the shy Disney starlet she used to be, and we’re glad she’s transforming into one independent woman. Sucker Punch hits theaters Friday March 25, and is about a group of girls that enter a world of fantasy to escape a mental asylum they’ve been unjustly sentenced to. Vanessa underwent some aggressive training to prepare for the role, and she says it boosted her confidence.
“I think the great thing about all the training is that it gives you a new self-confidence. You take yourself to a new place you’ve never been before, mentally and physically. You tell yourself that you can do anything. I mean after my second week, I was deadlifting 155 pounds!” boasted Vanessa.
We’re glad that Vanessa is spreading her wings as an actress and exploring new roles that let her flex some serious girl power. Single and empowered, it seems that no obstacle is too big for Vanessa! Will you see Vanessa manhandle some big guns in Sucker Punch this weekend? Tell us what you think!
