Happy Birthday, Vanessa Williams! You're 48 Today, March 18!

The actress left Ugly Betty behind and is now enjoying her role on ABC’s Desperate Housewives!

Vanessa Williams: recording artist, actress, former Miss America and mom of four. Wow! Is there anything she can’t do? Vanessa starred in Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010, but now has a leading role as a new housewife on Wisteria Lane!

Vanessa was married twice, once to former manager Ramon Hervey II, with whom she has three kids Melanie, 23, Jillian, 21, and Devin, 17. After 10 years of marriage, they divorced in 1997 and Vanessa married pro basketball player Rick Fox, who recently competed on Dancing With The Stars. They have a daughter, Sasha, 10.

“I became a mom when I was young, so I’ve always had my career along with my children,” she says. “I remember flying from Tokyo to New York for a confirmation party for my daughter, and then back to Tokyo to perform. But you can only do so much, and you have to forgive yourself.”
