Miley’s father reveals he has dropped the divorce and we hear he and Tish might be staying in the same NYC hotel room right now — haven’t we said all along this would happen?
Great news for Miley Cyrus — her parents are officially back together! Billy Ray finally made his anticipated appearance on The View, which airs tomorrow, and he announced he and Tish are no longer divorcing.
“I’ve dropped the divorce,” confessed the 49-year-old. “I want to put my family back together.” And he seems to be doing a great job already, a little birdie tells us Tish is currently staying in the same hotel room as Billy Ray at the Trump Soho.
Back in December we guessed Miley’s parents might be calling off the divorce when Billy Ray didn’t serve Tish within 30 days of filing for divorce. Then things got even more suspicious when we saw them looking happy together out on a family excursion in January.
Billy Ray’s candid interview with GQ magazine threw a wrench into things when he publicly spoke out against Miley’s troubles and blamed Hannah Montana for wrecking his family.
But now he’s singing a different tune. “Things are the best they’ve ever been!” proclaimed Billy Ray at the talk show’s taping today. “I feel like I got my Miley back. I feel like we’re the daddy and daughter we were before Hannah Montana.” How wonderful is that?
In fact, he no longer harbors ill will against the hit Disney show that made his daughter a star. “‘Hannah Montana’ didn’t ruin my family,” he revealed. “Fame did.”
Sounds like all’s well that ends well and Miley finally got her birthday wish of having her whole family together. Billy Ray and Tish have three children together (Braison, Noah and Miley) in addition to three children from their previous relationships (Brandi, Trace, Christopher-Cody). Now Billy Ray and Tish can focus on keeping their big family together and making sure Miley stays on the right path.
