They may be fighting, breaking up and making up over and over again, but the couple insists that they’re still engaged and “trying” to have kids! Do they even know each other well enough?
After calling off one wedding and breaking up multiple times, The Bachelor stars Brad Womack, 38, and Emily Maynard, 25, are working at their relationship. First step: kids. Wait, KIDS?!
“We’re trying,” Brad tells People about starting a family. And Emily, who already has a 5-year-old daughter, Ricki, with her former fiance NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick who passed away, completely agrees.
“I definitely want more kids,” she says. “I’m ready.” But is this baby talk too soon for the reality TV couple?
“Given the track record of these reality shows in general, the odds aren’t that great that they’ll make it last “forever,” sex and relationship expert Amy Levine tells HollyBaby.com. “Having a baby can solidify the relationship — at least on a superficial level — keeping them in la la land for the long-haul. It can keep them occupied and allow them the opportunity — if need be — to take the focus off them and make the kids the priority,” Amy adds.
“I want to start a family,” Brad says. “And I want to be a very proud father and stepfather. I’ll be a damn good one, that’s for sure. Biggest role of my life,” he adds. “Husband will be a close second.”
But Amy says “la la land” won’t last forever. “They may find out 18 years down the road when the kids leave the nest that the bond wore off a long time ago,” she explains. “On the other hand, it can totally work out. I sense a spin-off show.”
Hmm, that’s an interesting point. What do you think, HollyMoms? Should Brad and Emily have kids?
