Ryan Phillippe told Ellen DeGeneres he’s “dating,” and didn’t correct her when she told the audience he’s not in a relationship. Why isn’t he proud of his reported girlfriend, Amanda Seyfried?
Despite PDA-filled dates and tons of paparazzi shots, Ryan Phillippe isn’t owning up to being in a relationship with Amanda Seyfried. In fact, he makes it seem like he’s still on the market. How rude is that?
“I’m dating. Not nearly as veracious as the magazines like to make out. I am dating,” Ryan, who is promoting his movie The Lincoln Lawyer, tells Ellen DeGeneres on her show March 11.
Then, when the audience boos, Ellen goes on to reassure the crowd Ryan’s only dating and not in a relationship — and he doesn’t set her straight! Instead, the notorious playboy goes on to list what he’s looking for in a girl.
You listening, Amanda?
“[A] sense of humor. I like a strong woman. I have three sisters and I have a daughter and I like individuality. I like a woman who’s self possessed. Who knows who she is. Who knows what she wants…” Ryan, 36, says.
As coy as he may play, Ryan has been smitten with Amanda, 25, since last fall, when the couple was first spotted leaving a Halloween party together. Since then, he’s also introduced his younger sweetheart to his two kids from ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, Ava and Deacon.
It’s not just Ryan who’s playing off his coupledom — even Amanda has dodged the topic of her and Ryan dating! In the April edition of Elle, she admits to being “seen” with him, but won’t own up to the relationship.
At what point will these two admit they’re together?
