Will Lindsay Lohan Go To Jail Today Or Take Plea Deal?

Lindsay could get a chance to hear the judge’s offer — which means she will be thrown in jail again!

Lindsay Lohan will be back in court this morning to face Judge Keith Schwartz again regarding her grand-theft charges. After no deal was struck between Linds’ attorney Shawn Holley and prosecutor Danette Meyers during a sit-down in the judge’s chambers on March 9, according to TMZ, it looks like Lindsay will be granted a continuance in court today to rethink the judge’s offer.

The last time Lindsay appeared in court on Feb. 23, Judge Schwartz made it clear that if they didn’t come to agreement today, Lindsay would either go to jail — or head to trial. He said that if she accepted the plea deal or pleads no contest to the charges that she stole a necklace from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store, she would immediately be taken into custody and thrown behind bars.

According to TMZ, the judge now seems to be reconsidering letting Lindsay have time to think about the options on her plate.

“I am ready for court,” Lindsay told TMZ. “And I believe that the truth will prevail through all of this.”

If Lindsay does in fact ask for a continuance today, “it indicates that they are preparing to either go to trial or are evaluating the strength of the case against her,” NYC criminal defense attorney Rich Langweber tells HollywoodLife.com.

Be sure to check back here at 11:30 a.m. EST to watch Lindsay’s hearing live!
