We spoke to the creator of Skineez and she told us everything you need to know about the revolutionary new product!

Imagine going to sleep in a basic tank top and waking up feeling smoother — and slimmer? Well now it’s possible! Already popular with celebrities like Kelly Bensimon and Tori Spelling, Skineez shapewear and workout clothes manage to moisturize your skin (and help you shed some inches) — but how do they work? got to chat exclusively with the creator of the brand, Michelle Moran, who filled us in on everything you need to know about the product. “It’s like wearing a seaweed wrap to bed,” she said.

“People spend so much time and money on beauty when it comes to the neck up,” Michelle told us. “I thought, ‘Why not show your body and skin the same attention?’ The clothing has a cellulite minimizer that helps the elastin in the skin improve. When it touches the skin it moisturizes and firms. Not everyone knows this, but dry skin creates wrinkles. This is a way to expose your skin to Vitamin E, among other ingredients, every single day, and over time there’s a slow release.”

The garments are a combination of shapewear and Under Armour, but they’re very soft and comfortable. “It’s soft enough to wear to bed,” Michelle said. So, how can clothing that moisturizes actually work after one use? “You can wash and wear the item up to 10 times — and after that all it needs is maintenance.” Michelle told us you can easily wash the items along with your regular clothing — afterward you turn the items inside out and spray them with a replenishment spray consisting of Shae Butter, Aloe, caffeine, and Vitamin E, to name a few of the ingredients.

So, how did the concept come about? “I had surgery and afterward I was instructed to wear a girdle. I couldn’t get over how uncomfortable it was on my skin, especially when I was supposed to be healing,” Michelle said. I’ve had seaweed wraps before and I thought, ‘Why not bring moisturization into clothing so women can have skincare they can wear?'”

While all women want to reduce wrinkles and cellulite, the clothing is actual functional and useful aside from minimizing those imperfections. “That it’s workout wear, it’s perfect for athletes, especially with everything their bodies endure,” Michelle said. “It’s also great for new moms and even people who are dealing with an illness. The clothing is all about increasing comfort and improving skin.”
