Halle realizes that the choices she made in her custody fight with Gabriel Aubry might not met with her daughter Nahla’s approval. But she truly believes in what she’s doing!
In the midst of an intense custody battle with ex Gabriel Aubry, 35, Halle Berry realizes that as her daughter Nahla gets older, she might not agree with every move her mom has made. “I’m sure she won’t like everything I’ve done but I hope she appreciates it,” the actress, 44, said at the NAACP Image Awards on Friday. “I hope she will appreciate that I dared to be myself and always did what I believed in. I hope to pass those qualities on to her.” Do you think Halle was right in all this?
Halle, in New York City with Nahla, 2½, is filming scenes for New Year’s Eve. She took home the Image award for outstanding actress in a motion picture for her role in Frankie & Alice. She said she hopes her work “inspires” Nahla adding, “I hope she’s proud of me.” Which we’re sure she is, Halle!
Luckily, Halle doesn’t find it hard to balance work and motherhood, saying “it’s a joy.” “I wouldn’t say that [parenting] is the hardest work I do,” she said. “I would say it’s the best work I do.”
We just hope Halle and Gabriel can clear up their custody agreement so that Nahla, who turns 3 next month, doesn’t have to be stuck in the middle.
