Incredible Mother Dies Saving Her Toddler From A Tornado! So Heroic!

Jalisa Granger sacrificed herself during the Louisiana tragedy so her son could survive.

A mother in Rayne, Louisiana gave the ultimate gift to her son by sheltering him from a downed tree during a terrible storm, sacrificing her life so he could live!

Jalisa Granger, 21, was pulled from the wreckage of the March 6 storms, but unfortunately had passed away. Miraculously, her baby son was alive, sheltered under his mother’s body. Jalisa’s own mother was also pulled alive from the wreckage.

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Maxine Trahan detailed Jalisa’s bravery: “She sheltered the child to protect her from the storm, and a tree fell on the house and it killed the mother but the child was OK,” Maxine told CBS News.

100 homes were destroyed by the storm, including Jalisa’s, which was pummelled by the dislodged tree. Rayne is located approximately 70 miles west of Baton Rouge.

What a selfless act — it really shows what mothers will do to protect their children!
