Oscars Hosts Anne Hathaway & James Franco Reportedly ‘Hate Each Other!’

Could Anne & James’ feud be the REAL reason the Oscars were so terrible?

We were wondering why Anne Hathaway and James Franco had zero chemistry when they hosted the 83rd annual Academy Awards this Sunday, and now we might just have our answer: A source tells Us Weekly that Anne, 28, and James, 32, reportedly “hate each other!”

As we pointed out in our review of their hosting gig, it felt like Anne did all the work while James just kind of stood there — and it sounds like that was the exact source of tension between the two hosts!

“[Anne] had to provide all the energy — [James] was just phoning it in,” another source tells the mag. “James seemed in his own little world. … Producers were pissed.”

Though his rep denies the claim, it sounds like James wasn’t too pleased with his own performance either, as he skipped his own Oscars after-party at The Writer’s Room in Los Angeles.

“He went immediately back to NYC because he was pissed about how the show went,” says the source.

Anne was probably over acting to compensate for Franco’s lack of energy. The interview with Franco in the green room right before the Oscars was bizarre. I knew then, that it wasn’t going to be good. He just came off like he had just smoked something and I’m not talking salmon.

Hathaway thought she was god’s gift to mankind. It was discusting to watch ehr constantly put down anyone over 30.
Oh yes, it was the young demographic she constantly referred to wasn’t it? POOR TASTE! Too many dress changes.
The worst chemistry between the hosts. He couldn’t stand her either. BAD BAD BAD

Anne seemed so excited and vivacious during the Oscars, I also agree, James Franco’s demeanor was “drag being here”. I would certainly be unhappy if I had to carry the entire program, but Anne did a fabulous job and looked glorious to boot. No loss if they never cross paths again.

James was disrespectful to Anne . She only agreed to host because she is a huge Franco fan.

James truly sucked. It was uncomfortable to watch, and it looked impossible for Anne to engage in any feedback from that deadbeat. I will not rent his movie.
