Aside from her heart beating out of her chest, the Best Actress winner’s unborn baby was kicking her all night! The Oscar nerves got them both!

Natalie Portman and her baby bump are perfection on the red carpet. The actress, 29, who is expecting her first child this spring with fiance Benjamin Millepied, arrived to the Oscars wearing a beautiful plum-colored gown. And tucked away in that dress was her baby-to-be who made sure his/her mommy knew, “Hey, I’m in here!”

“I don’t remember anything that happened,” Natalie said backstage. “But the baby was definitely kicking a lot during the song portion of the show.” Does she have a musician on her hands?

“One of the most exciting things about being pregnant is that I’m accepting the complete unknown,” she added. “It’s a complete mystery and miracle. It’s really just accepting that I have no idea, which is what all of us live every day.”

The Black Swan star was in a “dream-like” state after nabbing the Best Actress Oscar, but her current condition reminds her “where your meaning is, what is actually important in the midst a lot of shiny stuff that is more superficial.”

We give Natalie a lot of credit for braving her pregnancy woes and showing up for every event this award season. She is obviously proud of her movie and she deserves the win!
