Leave it to Helena to complete her red carpet look by putting a $10 shoe accessory in her hair!
Helena Bonham Carter, 44, brought her signature quirkiness to the red carpet during Feb. 27′s Oscars, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The King’s Speech. We’ve come to expect crazy from Helena (she didn’t disappoint at this year’s SAG and Golden Globe awards), and she certainly delivered at the Oscars, wearing an accessory in her hair that is supposed to be for SHOES!
The day of the Oscars, Helena’s mother visited the EXTRA Luxury Lounge featuring L’Oreal Paris Beauty Suite, where she picked up a pair of FlipOut Sandals. Helena loved the little crown jewels that were meant to be worn on the sandals so much, she sent her mom down with a personal note requesting more! (She probably loved these jewels because they reminded her of royalty, which she played in the movie!)
We love how Helena is comfortable wearing something that costs $9.99 when everyone around her is dripping in diamonds– not to mention something that’s supposed to decorate a shoe! She definitely marches to the beat of her own drummer, and we LOVE it!
What do YOU think? Is Helena a trendsetter, or just too wacky? Let us know in the poll below!
