Wow, Tonya Harding Just Had Her First Baby At Age 40! Congrats!

After being told she would never have a child, the former figure skating champ finally gets her miracle baby.

Notorious skating star Tonya Harding is a mommy! She gave birth to a baby boy on saturday, Feb. 19, in a Washington State hospital. “Everybody’s healthy and happy,” her friend Don Horn tells The Oregonian. Congratulations Tonya!

Tonya let the news out that she was expecting a boy!

This is the first child for the former figure skater, 40, who lives with husband Joseph Price, 42, in Washington. “She’s always wanted a baby,” Don adds. “She was told she could never have a child … and guess what? It really is a miracle and she really is very happy.”

Tonya became notorious in 1994 when her ex-husband Jeff Gilooly and her bodyguard hired someone to club her American rival, Nancy Kerrigan, in the knee with a pipe at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Nancy would still go on to win silver at the 1994 Olympic games while Tonya did not medal.

It seems like Tonya has finally cleaned up her act and has the baby she has always dreamed of.

Congrats to Tonya. Glad to see her so happy. Yes, turning 40 and not skating your butt off for 10 hours day will catch up with anyone.

Congrats to Tonya. While I don’t believe in her past, she has tried to clean up her life. So what if she gained weight. Heck under medical care I gained almost 60 lb in a pregnancy. It happens. She may have made bad choices in the past, those who did not live under the pressures she did in the past to be the best don’t understand. I have seen a family member stress under being the best skater, she weighed only 95 lbs and thought she was too fat to be good. She was only 17 years old. This is what we teach our children and this is what creates a Tonya.

I live in Portland. The picture was taken before she got pregnant. She can’t use having a baby as an excuse. If anything, that picture makes her look slim compared to what she really looked like pre-pregnancy. The miracle in “miracle baby” is that someone would actually get a slob like that pregnant

I remember thinking years ago that by the time she reached 40 she would be one ugly dog. Was I right or what?

Why is it a miracle baby? Oh, yeah, that a cow could give birth to a human child? That might work.

I’m very happy for her. For all of you commenting on her size, having a baby at 40, (and she was likely on bedrest), is a weight gaining activity; so lay off her a bit.

What she does need to be told is to STOP wearing black liquid eyeliner. It ages her; a lot! And pluck those flippin eyebrows!
