Despite a rocky start, Justin Bieber’s fans are finally warming up to his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. They’re even boosting her following on Twitter!
Selena, I know you didn’t exactly have a warm foray into the dating world when you started getting hot and heavy with Justin Bieber. After Beliebers realized he had the hots for you, they accosted you with mean messages, angry tweets and even death threats!
That said, we’ve come a long way in just a few short months. Despite the death threats, Justin’s fans are really warming up to you – and now you have the Twitter followers to prove it! Over Presidents’ Day weekend you hit more than 4 million Twitter followers, which is more than half of Justin’s 7.5 million. Congrats!
Although you haven’t felt comfortable enough to talk about your new relationship in public yet (can’t say we blame you), it’s really helping your fan base. Beliebers are so supportive of Justin, 16, they’ll do anything to get closer to him — especially if it’s through his number one girl.
Falling for Justin is probably the smartest thing you could have done at this point in your career, Selena. You’re fame is skyrocketing and you’ve inherited some of the coolest fans in the world. Plus, you seem happy…and that’s the most important thing.
