Nicole shares her struggle to bring newborn Faith into the family.
Nicole Kidman may be one of the world’s most glamorous movie stars, but she wrestled with an issue millions of women can relate to: infertility and the need for a surrogate mother.
“We were in a place of desperately wanting another child,” Nicole, 43, revealed on the Feb. 20 edition of 60 Minutes Australia. “This opportunity arose for us, and I couldn’t get pregnant.”
Although she and her husband Keith Urban are crazy about their newest arrival, Faith, she also revealed the struggles of not being able to carry a baby herself.
“Anyone that’s been in the place of wanting another child, or wanting a child, knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility is such a big thing,” Nicole said. “And it’s not something that I would ever run away from talking about. I’ve had a very roller-coaster ride with fertility.”
She also showed pictures of her new cutie straight off her iPhone!
We’re so glad Nicole was able to share her struggles — it’s helpful for all women who may be working through the same thing!

Isabella and Connor live with Tom & Katie in New York so she doesn’t see them very often. at least nowadays stars are allowed to open up about things like this if they choose to unlike the old days when it was hidden until they wrote an autobiography like Sophia Loren for example she wasn’t infertitle but had two near fatal miscarriages before she had her oldest son Carlo Ponti Jr in December of 1968.
